Dispensaries: In states where marijuana is legal for recreational use, dispensaries are a common sight. They are much rarer in states with more restrictions. In states that permit the use of medical marijuana, hemp-based CBD oils do not normally require a prescription but marijuana-based oils do. Like brick-and-mortar locations, dispensaries offer more customer service. However, as noted, this may not be an option depending on the buyer’s state of residence. Also, CBD oil prices tend to be significantly higher at dispensaries.
The tricky part is that there's some evidence suggesting CBD works best for pain when combined with a little THC, says Dr. Danesh. "Depending on what type of pain you have, you might be able to do just CBD, but sometimes you need CBD and THC." CBD is a compound called a cannabinoid, says Jordan Tishler, MD, a Harvard-trained doc who is an expert on using cannabis as medical treatment. It can be extracted from hemp or marijuana, two different plants from the Cannabis sativa L. ("cannabis") species. For an idea of what it takes: I eat white rice w lean chicken and turkey and some oil at beginning of lunch and dinner meals, #2 baby food vegetables, nori, smoother (regular, not lignan) flax oil, bananas, white rice cold cereals (chex (has some cornmeal), rice squares and krispies) with alternative milks with hydrolyzed (dissolvable) collagen gelatin for higher protein, “Just” brand blueberry and pomegranate juices, at least 8C purified w added trace minerals (no chlorine while taking probiotics) consistently throughout day. Smaller frequent (6) well chewed meals, 3 are snack meals. Sublingual vitamins. Did not like Bentyl. Extremely drying and zapped concentration. I am at normal weight for years now. Stress and insoluble fiber screw up my progress.

It's a little more uniform when the product is absorbed by smoking or vaping the oil, Ward said. But, "there are obvious concerns about smoking something."
